Introduction to Magazine Front Covers (A04)

Five things which I had learnt:

  1. The title of magazine eg. NME is referred to as the masthead on a magazine.
  2. Text which encourages the selling of a magazine eg. 'free posters inside' is called a sell line.
  3. Magazines tend to follow a style which is specific to their magazine and is carried on throughout, the is called the house style.
  4. The main headline on the magazine is called the cover line.
  5. Magazines always have a small border which the text follows around the edge of the cover.
